n. a kind of harmless garden snake, light yellow-green in color, about a meter long and around 1¼ cm. in diameter. It resembles a coconut palm leaflet (lukay).

v. thrust, drive something into something with force such that it penetrates, using a downward motion. Gihansákan níya ang kaáway sa bayuníta, He shoved a bayonet into the enemy; 2. hit with a strong thrust (figuratively).
