n. shingle of palm thatch, usually nípà but also lumbiya, used for roofing or walling. It is made by wrapping the leaflet around a piece of bamboo and sewing it; v. make into, provide with shingles of this sort. palawran n. piece of bamboo around which the shingle is wound and sewn.
